Established in March 2001 by the merger of two existing town planning practices, Dillon Folker Stephens is the Sunshine Coast’s leading specialist town planning consultancy employing 13 professional staff. The company specialises in providing professional town planning and development advice to both public and private sector clients on the Sunshine Coast and throughout Queensland and boasts expert knowledge of IPA, IDAS and a range of planning schemes. DFS has gained a reputation for quality, lasting client and local government relationships developed over 20 years.

Our services include:

• Planning Advice & Due Diligence - Our initial planning advice (including Due Diligence reports) provides our clients with an indication of a property’s development potential based on the planning scheme, State and legislative requirements. We can also identify key issues at this early stage.
  Master Planning - We have been involved in a number of complex master planning projects, such as Coolum Ridges, Peregian; Parklakes Residential Community, Bli Bli and Metro, central Maroochydore.
• Development Applications & Assessments - Our expert knowledge of planning schemes and the Integrated Planning Act enables us to prepare and submit comprehensive development applications and ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
• Multi Disciplinary Teams - DFS have extensive experience in coordinating and managing multi-disciplinary teams in order to achieve successful and timely outcomes for our clients.
• Court Appeals - DFS has presented expert witness evidence in a large number of Planning and Environmental Court appeals representing local governments and private sector clients.
• Infrastructure Contributions - Contributions for infrastructure (such as road network, open space, water and sewerage etc) are now a standard requirement for most developments. We can calculate these contributions and provide advice on their applicability and the likely costs
